Tour Itinerary:
You’ll start your experience at the Touristation office close to the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument where you’ll pick up your tickets and enjoy a 25-minute multimedia video about ancient Rome.
After that, it’s time to discover the Archaeological park where you’ll see the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and, finally the Colosseum.
Visit the Roman Forum where everyday Roman citizens used to live, see the tomb of Emperor Julius Caesar, and explore the ancient ruins at your own pace.
Your ticket also includes entrance to Palatine Hill, the site of the foundation of Rome, and the settlement of the most important houses of emperors and kings. Located just feet away from the Roman Forum and Circus Maximum, it is the center most of the 7 hills of Rome.
After the Archaeological area visit, enter the Colosseum – one of the most famous monuments in the world. As you explore the immense amphitheater — the largest ever built by the Roman Empire — imagine the gladiator fights and public spectacles that took place in the arena. The entrance to the Colosseum will take place approximately two hours after the timeslot you select during the booking process.
Instructions
You must show your smartphone ticket at the Tourist Information Office in Piazza D’Ara Coeli 16 to get your ticket.
Facing the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument (white monument), turn to the right, pass the bus stops and walk across the small park. There is a fountain just in front of the office.
Multimedia video viewing takes place before your visit to the Archaeological Area.
It is strongly recommended that you arrive at the Tourist Information Office 15 minutes before the time slot you have booked.
