the colosseum Rome
The Roman Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is regarded as one of the most impressive monuments in the capital. It is visited by more than 6 million people every year.
There is no doubt that the Colosseum is one of the most famous symbols of Rome. With almost 2,000 years of history, it is an impressive building that will take you back in time in order to experience the way of life in the Roman Empire and will allow you to discover how it might have been.
Our aim is to provide you with the best possible service in terms of finding the most affordable Colosseum tour, buying the best possible tickets, or providing you with a lot of valuable information regarding visiting the Colosseum.
Most days, apart from December 25 and January 1, the Colosseum is open to the general public, with hours varying between 9 in the morning all the way to 18 in the evening only in summer and 16:30 in the winter.
Occasionally, they are also open to visitors from the third ring and the underground. There are some days of the week during the summer when you can visit the Flavian Amphitheatre even at night.
The Rome Colosseum is located in the city’s heart. Visiting Rome from here is an excellent way to begin your sightseeing tour. Colosseum tours can be booked online, or you can explore the magnificent building on your own. Each year, over 5 million people visit the Colosseum while in Rome, making it one of the most popular tourist attractions. It might take a while to get Colosseum tickets. If you plan to visit the Colosseum, consider purchasing tickets online in order to avoid long lines. It is best to go early in the morning or around 12 PM when big tour groups have their lunch break to avoid crowds.

Best Time to Visit the Colosseum in Rome
There isn’t really a time in the year when travellers give up on visiting the Colosseum, whether it is summer or winter. Our general recommendation is to visit the Colosseum when it is not raining, as that is the most ideal time to see it. It doesn’t really matter what the temperature is, but since most of the tour is open-air, walking without an umbrella is certainly preferable.
There is always a crowd during the summer, regardless of the time of day. If you can only take your holiday during July and August, you might want to book online or take a tour with skip-the-line entry. You’re more likely to find fewer queues in the afternoon than in the morning. Give yourself enough time for the queue and the visit. Ticket validity is 48 hours, so you can visit the second attraction the next day.
How to Buy the Colosseum Rome Tickets
